Advice To Referee's On How To Get Games

Not getting the games you think you deserve?

Every year, that call is taken time and time again by assignors, not just in Ontario, but all over the world. So here is the secret to getting games.

It's really very simple...

STEP 1.  Find out who the game assignors are in your area. For OSRA Brampton and District, they are all listed here Local Assignors.

STEP 2.  Find out what part of the week or month they assign games.

STEP 3.  Post, email or call the assignor, let them know your availability BEFORE they assign games. This can be weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, whatever, make that call, on a regular basis, assignors ALWAYS call the folks they know are available first!

If an assignor makes his calls on a Saturday - there is no point giving your availability on a Sunday, all that will be left are scraps. That availabilty call or message, in this scenario, should have been made on Friday!

With centralised computerised appointing rapidly approaching, the only way you will get games is if you tell the computer your availability, so get into the habit now and let the assignors know when you are available to do games.
